Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park is a wilderness area in the Sierra Nevada mountain range of stunning natural beauty. The park caters for day visitors, campers and has a variety of other accommodation in the area.

Lake Tahoe

On the border between Nevada and California Lake Tahoe is the largest body of fresh water in the US except for the Great Lakes. A beautiful place to visit in the summer and ideal for winter sports having been a venue for the Winter Olympics.

SeaWorld San Diego

The first Seaworld was opened in San Diego with it’s star attraction Shamu an orca whale. The center teaches about marine environment as well as providing spectacular shows to entertain all age groups.

Redwood National Park

Highway 101 passes through the Redwoods which are huge trees some so large they have been hollowed out to allow cars to pass through them.

Death Valley

A valley close to the Sierra Nevada mountain range is aptley named as it is the hottest area in the US. The valley is popular with hikers
outside the summer season and also because of it’s remote location and dark night skies it is popular with stargazers.

Big Sur Coatline

Highway 1 runs along the Big Sur on California’s central coast offering stunning views of the coastline and the inland mountains. The area offers wonderful sightseeing, hiking, mountain climbing and numerous outdoor activities.
