Redwood National Park
Highway 101 passes through the Redwoods which are huge trees some so large they have been hollowed out to allow cars to pass through them.
Death Valley
A valley close to the Sierra Nevada mountain range is aptley named as it is the hottest area in the US. The valley is popular with hikers
outside the summer season and also because of it’s remote location and dark night skies it is popular with stargazers.
Big Sur Coatline
Highway 1 runs along the Big Sur on California’s central coast offering stunning views of the coastline and the inland mountains. The area offers wonderful sightseeing, hiking, mountain climbing and numerous outdoor activities.
